To restore the eroded banks and water quality in the Whale Pond Brook watershed and be able to walk along a 6 mile suburban greenway from the source in Tinton Falls to the ocean.  It includes historic sites such as the 100 year old Ross Island stone hut,  the old Brinley grist mill site, the Woodrow Wilson Hall at Monmouth University and the beautiful Takanassee Lake in Long Branch.

Come visit our Botanical Garden Trail at Ross Island Park, Long Branch, Learn about native shrubs and plants from our plant labels.

You can visit the Whale Pond Preserve student Trail on weeknds . It is behind the Ocean Intermediate school and was spearheaded by Gillian Natanagara and her friends from the High school. Over many weeks they wheeled barrows full of wood chips to cover the trail that others were creating.
